Measure by installation section

Create a row for each roofline, ridge, ground route, or doorway. Measure the actual planned light path. For straight doorway outlines, record the two sides and top. For an arch, record the intended shape and check the calculator’s geometric approximation against a physical measurement.

The material calculator offers roofline, walkway, and doorway modes. Select 12-inch or 15-inch spacing, choose one color or two alternating colors, and identify mounting needs. Calculate each distinct surface separately, then combine the product quantities for your job. Walkways can be estimated for one or both sides.

Review rounding and leftovers

Bulb packs contain 25, clip and stake packs contain 100, socket-line spools are 1,000 feet, and lamp wire is 250 feet. Rounding a small job to full packages creates leftovers. For a multi-section job, consider the combined quantity of each SKU before purchasing so reusable spare stock is counted intentionally.

Keep estimates separate from approvals

The tool estimates quantities and catalog merchandise costs. It does not confirm stock, shipping, tax, electrical load, voltage, installation fit, or safe access. Verify actual product instructions and finished-run socket counts. Submit the list as an order request, include your deadline, and wait for the final availability and fulfillment confirmation before arranging payment.
